He is the forerunner and President of SRK Knowledge Foundation (SRKKF). He holds a post-graduate degree in Engineering from IIT-Mumbai and has over three decades of post qualification experience in research, business, and consulting in the areas of Energy, Climate Change and Technology.
He is the first President of Sarvajanik University, Surat. He was appointed as First Chief Resilience Officer by the Municipal Corporation of Surat City. As a former President of The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he represents small and medium enterprises working in South Gujarat. He is also a member of Board of Management of Surat Peoples’ Co-operative Bank Ltd.
He is also a member of Global Steering Committee of Resilient Cities Network, Singapore. He also served as the Chairman of Sarvajanik Education Society, Surat catering to the academic needs of more than thirty-two thousand students by administering over thirty schools, colleges, and research institutes in South Gujarat. He is actively involved in various philanthropic activities.
Ph.D. in Education from M.S.U,Baroda, Dr. Sanjay Mehta is a visionary educator who thinks ‘Out of Box’. Dr. Mehta is a founder of Countryside International school and Director of GTTP, India.
Dr. Sanjay Mehta has been bestowed with Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Education Excellency Award 2018, Jagadguru Shankaracharya H.H.Sri Jayendra Saraswati National Award 2003 with a Gold Medal, Best Paper Presenter Award at National Conference on Development and Sustainability – Oct. 2015 and name a few. He has studied ‘Perception of Teachers and Trustees towards Secondary School Principal’s Leadership Qualities ’during his Ph.D. Based on his research, a book ‘Developing Principal’s Leadership Qualities’ has been published by Lambert, Germany, in 2017.
He is a Senior Executive with 15+ years of work experience. He has been into the field of education for more than twelve years. He has achieved Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, Masters in Arts, and Bachelors in Education.
His zeal for teaching aspired him to change and add value to the Government Schools in Surat while working as a Principal. To aid people at large, he serves as the General Manager at SRK Knowledge Foundation and also as a Director of V.N. Godhani English School. He admits that along with the theoretical knowledge, its practical application is equally important. His work experiences comprise in the arena of School Education, Skill Development and Corporate Social Responsibility.
He has been instrumental as a Chief Human Capital Officer (CHCO) with Shree Ramkrishna Exports Pvt. Ltd. (SRK), a leader in the world of diamonds, generating a revenue of more than $1.8 billion. He shoulders the strategic responsibilities for SRK’s Global HR, IR, Administration, HSE, CSR, and Compliances. He is also the Project Administrator for SRK’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility rated as World’s No. 1 LEED: Platinum building by the U.S. Green Building Council.
Dr. Nirav is recognised for his untiring work with prestigious awards in his HR journey like Award for the “Excellence in Teaching & Training” by Indian Society for Training & Development & Indian Quality Assurance Council-2021, Youngest HR Professional of the Year-2018 by National Institute of Personnel Management, etc.
He is also the Life Member-Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs and of the Managing Committee- ISTD, Surat Chapter, Chairman-HR & Training Committee, SGCCI, President-HR Forum, SGPC and many more.
He is the Founder – Chairman of SRK Knowledge Foundation and a natural-born mentor. His compassionate, resilient, visionary, passionate and innovative approaches, and his belief in ‘Giving Back to Society’ have inspired him to set up SRKKF. Under his impeccable leadership, SRK Group reached new heights and has become a global brand today.
A philanthropist and patriotic at the core, he is actively involved in enormous social welfare activities, including education, health and other developmental activities through his trusts and institutions. He has initiated numerous schools, colleges, medical centres and hospitals. He has organised many mass marriages to benefit the weaker section of society. He rigorously advocates the prevention of female foeticide, water conservation awareness and cleanliness drives. He extends his support to the Indian Army and gallantry awards. He is one of the key persons for setting up state – multi-super speciality, tertiary care hospital. Philanthropy and social work give him eternal happiness and satisfaction.
Shri Dholakia believes that the most important attribute a leader can possess is the ability to be a learner forever. He is often invited as a speaker in the country’s best institutes like Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad (IIM-A) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
